In November of last year e-gold quietly closed all Iranian accounts. They did not ‘value limit’ them or give advance notice, all of the accounts simply were removed. Some people protested and of course the previous local Iranian users were steaming mad. We can now look back with our powerful 20/20 vision and ask…Did they do the right thing?
Gold & Silver Reserve (G&SR), Inc suspended all Iranian held accounts back on 24 November 2006 without any notification. Now we attempt to reason why and come up with one possible answer….
