All that is required for the cell phone owner is the next generation SIM card, which is available to all from the mobile operator and its free. Users will be able to send money to other mobile phone users on the Safaricom network and on other competing networks. There are few restrictions on receiving funds, users of the new system can only receive funds from other Safaricom users.
