PayPal and AdSense Earning Now Available To Philippine Market
I’ve learned the past few years that ‘working online from the Philippines’ means ‘earning money via the Net’. Blogs like PinoyMoneyTalk.com and PinoyTechBlog.com have long been favorites of mine.
The past few weeks has delivered some very good news for local Philippine Internet entrepreneurs. These users can now receive and withdraw PayPal payments. This is a strategic move for Philippine e-commerce and should also bolster eBay activities for local auction players. The PayPal Help Page now states:
Members in Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Cyprus, Estonia, Gibraltar, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Philippines, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Uruguay, can withdraw funds to credit cards that are withdraw eligible. You should allow 5-7 business days for your funds to post to your card, but may take more time, depending on your bank’s policies.
Local PayPal users will be needing a hard working Prepaid card or a local credit card to withdraw their funds. The Snow World bblog, has posted these cards and is claiming that at least one of them will support PayPal withdrawals and can be used so let us know if you hear different and which card(s) work for you.
AdSense Earnings Sent To You Via Western Union Quick Cash
Additionally, Google AdSense is now offering payouts via Western Union Quick Cash to Philippine earners. Its fast also, according to AdSense, Western Union Quick Cash payments “will be available for pick-up the day after the payment date.”
As Western Union requires, the recipient must have government issued ID with a matching name for the money pick up and the amount received can’t be over $10k USD. This is great news for Philippine online publishers because AdSense payments via Western Union are also free of charge.
Quick Cash payments are available from AdSense if you are located in one of the following countries: China (Mainland), Malaysia, Pakistan, Romania, Philippines, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Colombia . The Google Help Section has additional information.
UPDATE (4 Oct. 2007): Jozzua confirms that Paypal cash withdrawals may be made through the locally-issued EON Visa Electron card issued by the Unionbank of the Philippines. No need for credit cards or US bank accounts to get your money.
