Need An E-currency Debit Card?

by User ImageMark on October 31st, 2007

There are a lot of e-currency debit cards out now. I see some old faces and some new ones. While its not as easy to go from e-currency to ATM as it was this time last year, there are still plenty of options. If you know of other good cards please leave a comment. (the transaction figures below were all taken directly from the card’s web site)

I don’t think the industry will ever recover from losing the BestGoldCard :-(

DigitalGoldCard $49.95 Deposit e-gold, e-bullion, Pecunix, c-gold, Liberty Reserve & Webmoney

I can’t tell you if any of these cards are fantastic or terrible so use at your own risk and let others know your results.

11 opinions for Need An E-currency Debit Card?

Here is my personal opinion about the websites listed in your article.

Chronocash- Horrible company and horrible support. Operated by a french guy who can barely speak english. Rude, unprofessional, many complaints of them blocking their cardholders funds (internet search).. Shows licensed in the US at bottom of the site but apparently is just a US LLC with a US voicemail number. Wouldn’t touch them with a 10 foot poll. Poor english on the website as well.

Cash-Evolution- Website doesn’t exist. Link shows a Fedora Core Test Page.

DigitalGoldCard- Best multi-currency debit card offered on the internet today. Fast and friendly support. Most importantly they load your card in a timely manner. Panama company with a Panama phone number listed on the website. Card can be loaded with e-gold, e-bullion, Pecunix, c-gold, Liberty Reserve & Webmoney.
    Highly recommended.

epay- New company registered 24-SEP-07 located in Panama . Rumors around the forums is that the Russians and Fraudsters are migrating to their payment/debit card system moving their ill-gotten gains. Website has an affiliate program which will surely attract even more scammers.

Cash Cards Int’l- Older company been online since 2001. Used to claim to be Canadian but now claims to be registered in St. Kitts. Website shos a Minneapolis, MN address. These people seem to be confused. Search engines reveal good and bad stuff about the company.

PaysGold- Seriously, with a Atm daily withdrawal limit of $660.00 this card isn’t even worth commenting on. Website doesn’t even claim to be registered to perform any type of financial service.

World Send- Worst debit card designed website on the internet. Max load $250 a week? Is this site for real?

Eternity Banking- Downright weird. A lot of the services offered on this site violate the payment system terms of service (I.E. Depositing AlertPay, PayPal or Moneybookers) These payment systems have strict terms of service that clearly state:
“No E-Cash or Aggregation. Shall not use the Services in relation to the sale of any form of e-cash or other matter, tangible or not, that is redeemable by a Customer for a product or service from a third party, nor shall use the Services for any aggregation of payment services” Can you say Money laundering?

First Oceanic Bank- Claims to offer “ANONYMOUS CARDS” for EUR300. I think we all know what happens to websites who offer “anonymous” financial services. Can anyone say “funds frozen by authorities” all at the same time? I can hear the echo…

WebMoney Banquecard- Good card, problem is the entire website is in Russian and card is only for Russian users. Card does require ID.

    Thats all for now!

I have a card from http://www.epayarea.com - MasterCard, easy to use, I travel with it and tried in Europe and Canada already - no problem. Can recommend to all. Also webmoney has site http://www.wmtransfer.com in English where you can find everything including cards. As for the post from “CardHolder”: I used http://www.thedigitalgoldcard.com - their support shows like there is only one person in his home pc handling all including emails, card shipping etc., and all looks like he just wants to sell the card and do not care about the rest. You will find an offer “too good to be true” on their site. Try yourself if you do not trust me. If you say all the rest is shit and only that card is perfect - you are probably that guy who runs that site :(

I had a debit card from http://www.cashcards.net - not bad at all, but sometimes reloads are delayed. I have now a debit card from http://www.epayarea.com - perfect. Very good thing that I use it for ATM withdrawal and for online usage, where credit card is required, so I actually have two cards in one. I have many friends who use it in the States and South America, heard and read only positive. I also know webmoney as reliable service, but not sure if they have cards.

“DigitalGoldCard” - I read a few negative articles, and actually many say this site was hacked and emails replaced, users lost money with it, so I would actually not try it. If you are so sure in it - go ahead, good luck ….

I would also bet on epayarea.com - their fees are more than twice lower than on digitalgoldcard, check http://www.epayarea.com/price_comparison.php
It is just 3,5%. They are licensed and look far more serious than cashcards or digitalgoldcard.

And what investigative proceedure did you follow before you made your inaccurate comment on epayarea being such a good company?

    http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=epayarea.com&server=whois.dotster.com&email=on
    Domain Name: EPAYAREA.COM
    Created on: 24-SEP-07
    Expires on: 24-SEP-08

A simple search shows epayarea.com domain was registered just two months go..

Im glad your not a private investigator or anything… your client would be screwed.

to “Cardholder”: buddy, it looks like you are novice. I have been using cashcards.net in year 2002, and also I bought one card recently. I will not recommend that site to others cause they make card loading when they want, but not everyday, as their site writes. But this site is quite old - almost 7 years. Quite long enough to say it is “trusted”, right? But still I would not recommend it to anyone. Why? Because I used them for several times and their service is not good. Although they do deliver cards, but the card is loaded once a week or even less often, their site is not compatible with many browsers, even with IE it does not work properly, etc.

Now to your question: Why I say http://www.epayarea.com is good? Because I use their debit card, it is loaded every day as promised, sometimes I even get the card funded within 2 hours. I also use them with paypal, withdraw funds from paypal to their card, I verified and use this card with Ebay. Their site is compatible with majority browsers I use (all IE, Firefox, etc.) they are licensed, they have SSL, no bugs, hackersafe secured etc. I never had problems with them. It is a young and very good site and company, when you try them you will see it was made by professionals, I can recommend them to others. Why? Because I use them and can compare with others used before. I also used chronocash, First Oceanic Bank (complete fraud) and a few other sites you mentioned. I am experienced in this as I use cards every day. Your claims about all the sites show that you are not experienced and never tried them before. If you just want to market your site (digital gold card), I first suggest that you fix all the bugs on it, make it hacker safe, compatible to all browsers, and a truly GOOD service, but not write bad things about competitors - that makes only bad image about your site. I do not need to be a private investigator to check your site within just a few min. I would not order a card from the digitalgoldcard simply because the site is cheap and has many bugs, not saying that it was already hacked (which is normal for a cheap site), and the fees are enourmously high. This conversation is useless as you are amateur, while I know majority of these sites as a user, so good luck.
    Cheers,

    For “Tracey”

“it looks like you are novice”

Quite the contrary actually it is “your” opinion. Unlike you I don’t feel I have to discuss my credentials while making comments on public forums.

“Now to your question: Why I say http://www.epayarea.com is good? Because I use their debit card, it is loaded every day as promised, sometimes I even get the card funded within 2 hours. I also use them with paypal, withdraw funds from paypal to their card, I verified and use this card with Ebay.”

Clearly this type of service is against paypals terms of service which will be reported eventually.
    Good luck with it…

Again, you are making accusations and mere speculation about a company and a topic you know nothing about.
The whole paragraph is complete garbage. Truly unworthy for me to waste any more of my time discussing this with someone as ignorant as yourself.

Well, I can tell you right now that First Oceanic Bank is operated by shysters. I purchased a debit card and transferred nearly $2,100 of e-bullion over to it on October 28, 2007. They never loaded the card and multitudes of emails to them were unanswered. Only when the selling agent I purchased it from involved themselves somewhat did any sort of response occur. Then the ‘lip service’ began; “we’ll look into it and clear it up”….then, “we emailed our accounting department”…to “we haven’t heard back from our accounting department”, etc.
Others are having the same problem. Check out Talkgold forum. These guys are thieves as surely as someone who would enter my home and steal. The financial impact on my family is huge. Between the purchase of the card and the initial money “load”, I was taken for $3,200. I only write this with the hope of preventing some other trusting souls from falling prey to these hoodlums.
