Contest Still On - Tips on Protecting Your Digital Money and Accounts

by Benson on February 20th, 2008

(Digital Money World) Thanks to all the participating readers who has contributed to the Contest blog entry on the tips to secure your PC to prevent ID theft, and how to protect your internet money accounts (Paypal, E-bullion, E-gold, Liberty Reserve etc)

Here are some great tips,

From JoseLeon - Using Knoppix

- knoppix (http://www.knoppix.com) with a pen drive where you can save all your settings and load this linux live-cd with
all your information, like a mobile operative system. Nobody can write into your live-cd. And you can even instal netcraft
toolbar in the firefox browser with knoppix.

From Slyvain - PGP Key on Pecunix

Use the PGP key login in Pecunix (at least for your most important accounts).

From Stijn - Password Change

Change your password at least every month.

From Gray Eminence - 3 Types of Accounts

the Three rules : for digital money you us often when investing, get 3 accounts, a risky one for unsafe transaction, a medium one for “safe” transactions, a private one for storing money unknown from anybody

There’s more actually, they’re all really impressive IMO.

We will be definitely closing this contest by 29th February 2008 and I’ll be announcing the winner of $50 e-Gold sponsored by Swapgold.com. So please keep your entries coming in. The list will be compiled for every Internet users’ benefit. Cheerios! Contribute here today
