C-gold Penang Walk In Location Now Open (pics)

by Mark on November 26th, 2007

c-gold locationExchanging physical gold for the digital version is now an easy operation if you happen to be in Penang, Malaysia. Located in the office rows on the 4th Floor at the far end of the Summer Atrium in the Bukit Jambul Shopping Complex, Commerce Gold has opened their first walk in location.

This shop represents the fist of its kind where any c-gold customer can either bring gold for deposit to their digital account or redeem digital for the bars of pure gold. This is an amazing operation and hopefully many more of these shops will open in the months and years ahead.

The local shop in Penang, pictured here, is equipped to handle on location assaying of bailment items. This includes determining the purity of metal content for most bars and coins and doing that test in just a few minutes. Next year they will also be able to perform fire assaying and melting/assaying in that same location. All those thinking about stealing from c-gold….think again!

“THE “VAULT” CONSISTS OF TUNGSTEN- HARDENED STEEL BARS, WELDED TO A SOLID STEEL PLATE FLOOR & WALL. THE SAFES ARE DEAD-BOLTED TO THE WALL AND WELDED TO INTER-CONNECTED CROSS BARS. CCTV LIFE FEEDS ARE PIPED TO BUILDING SECURITY WHEN THE OUTER DOOR OPENS AND WHEN ANY MOTION IS DETECTED INSIDE THE VAULT. IN THE EVENT OF A BUILDING COLLAPSE, THE VAULT CAGE IS DESIGNED TO COLLAPSE UPON ITSELF, SAFE-WALL FIRST, WHICH WILL SANDWICH THE SAFES BETWEEN TWO STEEL PLATES.”
