Well there comes that moment, for example: the eminent arrival of June, when you are forced to confront how you are doing on your goals and resolutions that you made in January.

Are you earning more, saving more, and eating less,

or are you earning the same, saving less, and eating more?

Here on Digital moneyworld, I’ve been focusing on making money online, keeping it safe and maximising your savings.

Have you invested yet, saved something or or you just trying to keep your head above water with rising fuel costs, and everything else going up in relation to it?

How have inflation and the credit crunch affected you? Will you have a break for summer? Do you have any tips about making it, to share with us

If you work freelance, are you on target for the work you need to produce this year? It’s nearly halfway, after all.

I’m asking myself these questions, are you?

Write a comment and tell us how your year is going while you watch the ”summertime” video to get you in the mood. Tell  us how it has been so far with your goals.  Are you going on holiday this summer?

Yours in money,

 Moneypenny

hi, I live in Italy. I have bought a diesel car a few months ago to save fuel costs, just in time to see the diesel fuel cost overtaking the gasoline’s one! It’s great to see on the net someone giving advises to low skilled people in economy and finance like me.
    Go on, please!

Is tough to plan a holiday. I took a weeks break in April, still trying to recover from that. I cant take public transport either, so use a motorbike.
We get together have a BBQ and watch a movie, thats all.

I know what you mean about finances and travel. I too am staying at home this long weekend we have, because with the petrol and road tolls it was going to cost 500 just to get there by car, and so instead we are having wine tastings in the cellar this summer.
    Thanks for your comments

I haven’t made as much money progress as I expected during the first half of FY08. Unfortunately for most, costs are rising and income is not so the bottom line leaves much less wiggle room.

Hi Tisa yeah that’s a familiar feeling. Optomistically, I planned out the incommings, didn’t plan the outgoings as well though, so of course money goes out quicker than it comes in.
Best tip for belt-tightening is to have a picnic which everyone contributes to. The venue can be selected by a different person each time. This gets really creative and fun.
